DESCRIPTION
The Lebam River Cruise offers a relaxed and family-friendly nature experience, ideal for guests with children or those seeking a gentle introduction to Desaru’s coastal ecosystems. Departing from Desaru Coast, the journey begins with a scenic drive to Sungai Lebam, passing through secondary forests and agricultural landscapes before arriving at the river jetty. Upon boarding an explorer boat, guests cruise along the calm waters of the Lebam River, surrounded by dense mangrove forests where wildlife sightings may include Black-shouldered Kites, herons, and Pacific swallows.
As the boat glides through the winding waterways, your naturalist guide explains the fascinating mangrove ecosystem and its unique adaptations to tidal changes. The journey also provides a glimpse of local river life, featuring a small fishing settlement and a traditional floating restaurant. To conclude the experience, the tour includes a stop at the popular Desaru Fruit Farm Shop, where guests can purchase freshly harvested local fruits before returning to their accommodation.
