Departing from Desaru Coast, the journey begins with a scenic drive to Sungai Lebam, passing through secondary forests and agricultural landscapes, including palm oil plantations, before arriving at the river jetty.
Upon boarding an explorer boat, guests cruise along the calm waters of the Lebam River, surrounded by dense mangrove forests. Along the way, wildlife sightings may include Black-shouldered Kites, herons, and Pacific swallows. The jetty area itself provides a glimpse of local river life, featuring a small fishing settlement and a traditional floating restaurant.
As the boat glides through the winding waterways, your nature guide will explain the fascinating mangrove ecosystem and how these extraordinary trees have adapted to survive in an environment shaped by daily tidal changes.
