Dong Sticks is a mindful body–mind practice developed by an elderly master, combining gentle bamboo-assisted movements with the calming energy of nature. Suitable for all fitness levels, this 50-minute session focuses on improving flexibility, balance, coordination, and mental clarity while embracing the peaceful atmosphere of sunrise by the sea. The practice is family-friendly and open to adults and children aged 10 years and above.
We gather on the beach at first light, accompanied by the soothing rhythm of the waves and the soft warmth of the rising sun—an uplifting natural source of vitamin D. The session begins with guided breathing exercises to relax the body and calm the mind, preparing you for gentle movement and mindful focus.
Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, you will learn the sixteen Dong Stick movements using a bamboo stick to support stretching, strengthening, and improved mobility. Conducted every Saturday and Sunday, this rejuvenating sunrise session offers a peaceful and energizing way to begin your day in Desaru. Advance booking of at least one day is recommended.
