As daylight fades and night begins to fall, a hidden world awakens in Langkawi’s rainforest. Unique and fascinating nocturnal creatures emerge to begin their nightly activities, offering a rare glimpse into the island’s after-dark wildlife.

The tour begins at the base of Gunung Raya, where your guide will meet and welcome you. After a short briefing, we set off on a scenic drive to the summit of the island’s highest peak. The quiet mountain road winds through dense rainforest and offers sweeping views over the canopy below.

Along the way, your guide will be on the lookout for wildlife such as monkeys, squirrels, and birds including hornbills, rollers, flowerpeckers, and sunbirds. We will make several stops at scenic viewpoints, allowing you to enjoy a bird’s-eye view of Langkawi as the sun begins to set.

Just before sunset, we descend from Gunung Raya and continue to Lubuk Semilang in search of the rainforest’s elusive nocturnal residents. Here, we hope to encounter bats, flying squirrels, and, with a little luck, the remarkable Flying Lemur, also known as the colugo.

This immersive evening experience reveals a completely different side of Langkawi’s rainforest — quiet, mysterious, and alive with night-time activity.
