Early Morning pick up from penang island. Birding along the way to perlis. on arrivale check in to Putra Regency Hotel.
We begin our birdwatching trip at Bukit Kubu Recreation Forest to spot birds around the limestone hill. Among the birds that we may see include Stripe-throated Bulbul, Common Iora, Blue-whistling Thrush, Rufous-bellied Swallow and Blue-eared Barbet.
On the second day, the morning trip begins at Chuping area, a former sugar cane plantation that hosts a variety of bird species from open habitat birds to raptors. The birds to look for are Long-tailed Shrike, Lesser Whistling Duck, Cotton Pygmy Goose, Pied Harrier, Short-toed Snake Eagle, Plain-backed Sparrow and Bronze-winged Jacana.
We later head our way to a hill dipterocarp forest area, Bukit Ayer Forest Reserve. Among the birds that we may see are Greater Racket-tailed Drongo, Pied Triller, Common Flameback, Laced Woodpecker, Crimson-winged Yellownape and Red-throated Barbet.
Our final spot in Perlis for birdwatching is Perlis State Park, located at the northernmost part of Malaysia. Considered to be one of the best hotspots for birds in Malaysia, the species that we can potentially see include Yellow-vented Flowerpecker, Black-crested Bulbul, Grey-bellied Bulbul, Spectacled Bulbul, Purple-naped Sunbird, Little Spiderhunter, Grey-headed Canary-flycatcher and Lesser Green-leafbird.
