In 2008, JungleWalla had the privilege of facilitating the "Give Back to Nature and Community" program with Covidien. This initiative served as a powerful example of how corporate entities can play a direct role in the preservation of Langkawi’s unique biological heritage while simultaneously supporting local community structures.

The program was designed to go beyond traditional tourism, focusing on hands-on environmental contributions. Participants engaged in activities that fostered a deeper understanding of the delicate balance between development and conservation. By integrating educational sessions with field-based action, the initiative ensured that the corporate presence left a positive, lasting footprint on the island’s ecosystems.

Reflecting on this successful collaboration, JungleWalla continues to champion the philosophy that businesses have a responsibility to the environments they operate in. The lessons learned during the Covidien program have helped us refine our CSR offerings, allowing us to provide corporate groups with meaningful, science-backed opportunities to contribute to the long-term sustainability of the Langkawi UNESCO Global Geopark.
