JungleWalla Team Building | Geological Exploration
The Island Discovery project is an immersive team-building program designed to connect participants with the deep geological history of Langkawi. A highlight of this adventure is the exploration of Mount Mat Cinchang, the oldest rock formation in Southeast Asia, dating back over 550 million years.
Teams ascend the mountain via the Langkawi Cable Car, equipped with insights into the peak’s ancient marine origins. At the summit, participants are tasked with identifying and documenting geological evidence, such as fossilized ripple marks from a shallow marine environment that existed long before the dinosaurs. This hands-on activity challenges a team’s observation skills, coordination, and understanding of natural history.
GEOLOGICAL CHALLENGES & DISCOVERY
The program includes interactive sessions and quizzes that test the teams' knowledge of the mountain's geography, geology, and the impressive engineering of the cable car system. By successfully identifying the age and formation of these ancient peaks, teams gain a profound appreciation for the forces that shaped the Langkawi UNESCO Global Geopark.
