Flag Off Day
The participants of the bird race and photography component were flagged off from the entrance of cable car on the second day of the event. Officiating the flag off ceremony was Encik Azmil Munif Bukhari, the deputy Tourism Manager of LADA which saw around 50 participants present. Panorama Langkawi provide full access to all participant and sponsors free VIP pass to ride the cable car at any time throughout the race period. These bring more excitement to all participants to also get a breathtaking view of Langkawi from high above.

Exceptions to the Rules
While there are many rules in nature but one rule in nature we must also remember is that there are exceptions to the rule. As a general rule in the bird world males seems to have more color than their females, this is especially true with the Sunbirds, Flowerpeckers and the Asian Fairy Bluebirds among many.

Birds of a feather flock together
Among 220 species of birds that fly in Langkawi, the Great Hornbill is the most incredible and absolutely amazes me. The Great Hornbill (Buceros bicornis) is a large, principally frugivorous, and endangered species of south- and southeast Asian rainforests.
