The tract of forest—lapid in elevation, accessible yet wild—hosts a healthy mix of garden and forest birds, and during the migratory season, offers a vantage on southerly passage species.
Early pick up from your hotel in penang island to the Penang Hill Station. We then take a tranquil train ride or a transfer from the Botanical Garden, ascending towards the hilltop. Upon arrival, set off on a trek through Penang's verdant forests towards Tiger Hill, basking in the early morning sun's gentle rays. As you traverse the trails, marvel at the diverse bird species and panoramic vistas of Penang and the Malaysia Peninsular mainland.
Along this immersive journey, encounter a myriad of bird species, with the possibility of spotting elusive creatures like the dusky langurs or the giant black squirrel. The trail culminates around noon, whereupon you can relish the serene ambiance at David Brown's Tea Terrace, soaking in the picturesque scenery.
This birding excursion spans approximately three hours, offering ample opportunities for sightings. Afterward, return to the base via the train or vehicle, descending from the hill with cherished memories of Penang's enchanting avifauna.
