The Big Bird Day Race is an exceptional way to mark a corporate milestone or anniversary while contributing to nature conservation. This program transforms participants into citizen scientists, challenging them to identify as many bird species as possible within a set timeframe across Langkawi’s diverse habitats.

The experience begins with a comprehensive crash course in bird identification and field ethics, followed by a practical training session. Teams of 3 to 5 members are then equipped with professional gear—including binoculars, field scopes, and guidebooks—to begin the race. It is a test of observation, patience, and effective team coordination.

COMPETE FOR A CAUSE

Points are awarded not only for the number of species correctly identified but also for the quality of field notes and photographic documentation. The winning team’s achievement is tied to a philanthropic goal, where the corporation donates CSR funds to a selected nature conservation project. This program offers a high-impact blend of professional engagement and environmental responsibility.
